Impahla awarded for sustainability practices

Impahla Clothing has received two awards in the 2013 Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Business Partner Awards (BPAs). Launched by the IDC in 2012, the awards recognise IDC-funded businesses that have increased the creation of balanced, sustainable economic growth in South Africa and the rest of Africa. The aim of the competition is to reward funding-recipients that have contributed to commercially sustainable industrial development in one or more of the four categories, namely job creation; innovation; sustainability and regional development. Greening Delft

Maintaining Impahla Clothing’s carbon management programme to reduce the business’s carbon footprint, the company has partnered with Food & Trees for Africa (FTFA) for the last few years by funding the planting of indigenous trees at schools in needy communities throughout the Western Cape. During 2013, a total amount of 1 492 trees will be planted, an increase of 130% from 2012. SABS Compliant

Impahla Clothing is thrilled to announce that on the 30th October 2013, after many months of hard work and effort, the SABS have certified the Quality Management System of Impahla as ISO9001: 2008 compliant. This is water shed achievement for Impahla and the certificate and flag that we received at the certification ceremony on the 25th November 2013, is proudly displayed at our Maitland premises.
