How to Compare Properties on Impahla: Side-by-Side Buying & Renting
Use Impahla’s compare tool to line up up to four homes for sale or to rent. See price, size, features, and security in one clear table before you enquire or book a viewing.
Why compare before you decide
When you’re buying or renting in South Africa, it’s easy to lose track of which listing had the garden, which had fibre, and which was closer to your budget. Impahla’s compare tool lets you shortlist up to four properties and view them side by side—price, bedrooms, size, features, security, and more—so you can choose with clarity before you contact an agent or book a viewing.
Add properties to compare
Browse listings or open a property detail page. Tap Compare on the card, or Compare / In compare on the detail page. Each selected property appears in a tray at the bottom of the screen. You can keep browsing, switch suburbs, or open other listings—your selection stays with you in that browser.
Sale with sale, rent with rent
You can only compare properties of the same transaction type: homes for sale together, or rentals together. Mixing a sale listing with a rental isn’t allowed, so the table stays meaningful (for example monthly rent vs purchase price). If you need to switch, clear the tray and start a new set.
Open the comparison table
Once you have at least two properties in the tray, tap View comparison. You’ll land on a full side-by-side table covering essentials (price, type, location), living space, features (pool, fibre, pet friendly, and more), and security. Green circled checks show what each home has; dashes show what’s missing. From there you can open any listing for photos and contact details.
Tips for a useful shortlist
Keep your set small and intentional—four is the maximum. Compare homes in a similar price band or suburb so differences stand out. Use Favorites (the heart) to save properties long-term in your account; use Compare when you want a focused, temporary shortlist in one table. No account is required to compare.
